The Similarities in semantics and pronunciation between Fur language and English language

Abstract

This study aims to identify the concepts of similarities in semantics and pronunciation between Fur language and English language . It is an attempt in applied linguistics, it is contrastive study between two languages. This investigation includes the statement of research , importance , objectives , nature and limitation , hypotheses of the study besides terminologies to clear and show this similarities the researcher mentioned some words in two language EL and FL which are similar in the meaning and pronunciation in addition to brief review of EL and FL and their etymologies , observation is used as method of data collection . The study showed numbers of result , the most important of them are that they are similarities in semantic and pronunciation between EL and FL in some words .This research has been carried out in Kenana (Kombo 4 Um Al Qura) which located in White Nile State . Finally the researcher has given summary of the study and has mentioned the main findings and recommendations beside suggestions for further learning in the future .
