This study examined the impact of administrative control on improving the performance of business organizations. It examined the case of the Nile River Transport Company - Kosti for the period 2014–2024. The study aimed to determine the extent of the Nile River Transport Company's awareness of the importance of administrative control and the types of control it practices in its various activities. The study problem was represented in the low performance of the Nile River Transport Company despite the application of administrative control. Based on the study problem, the descriptive statistical method, inductive method, and case study method were chosen. The study tested a number of hypotheses, including: the existence of a statistically significant relationship between the set objectives and the performance of the Nile River Transport Company, Kosti, the existence of a statistically significant relationship between the set standards and the performance of the Nile River Transport Company, Kosti, There is a statistically significant relationship between the process of comparing the results with the performance of the Nile River Transport Company, Kosti. Accordingly, a number of 130 individuals who comprised the study population was determined through a comprehensive survey. The study reached a number of results, including: that the agreed-upon objectives have contributed to improving the financial performance of the company, and that the application of the specified standards for the quality of services provided has contributed to reducing errors and risks in the company's control processes. It also reached several recommendations, including the need to expand the base of participation in setting goals and standards based on clarity, precision, and the possibility of effective measurement and evaluation. Work to enhance the culture of self-monitoring within the company to encourage employees to monitor and sustainably improve their performance. |
